We had Clara's trial run with daycare this week, and I just couldn't handle it. So Scott is going to quit his job and stay home with her for a year, while also working on a master's degree at night. I'm a little jealous that I can't stay home with her (Scott says that's the price I pay for being "so successful" - ha ha), but absolutely thrilled she'll be home with her daddy.
In other news, the irises are blooming! This one is shimmery and fragrant. Love it.
Have a great weekend! -Ginger

I think it's wonderful that Clara will be home with one of her parents! Beautiful Iris....is he going to garden and blog? (just kidding)
I was so spoiled with my kids--I could not leave them in daycare when they were babies, either! I had a good job on the Army base in Germany when I had my daughter, and when it was time to go back I almost quite, but they were able to make my job part-time AND allow me to take her in with me! I used to place her little carrier on my desk as I worked;-) Then I eventually did quit! With my son, I was in private practice and doing well, but it was just too much for me and I completely quit and stayed home. If you can manage it it's the way to go. My husband made way more than I did so he couldn't quit;-) I am so glad you will feel so much better about going back to work...knowing she is with her daddy! That's wonderful. She is a little doll, and I love your header photo! Good luck getting settled back at work and having to be apart from her all day.
Wonderful news Ginger. What is Scott studying? How nice for him to stay home with her.
Lovely Iris!
Glad she gets to be home with one of her parents. Sounds like everything is going to work out.
Your header shot of Clara is adorable! Best of luck as you head back to work and try to create a routine that works for your family. Glad to hear you've found a solution where Clara can be with her Daddy.
Well that worked out well. I know he'll be happy to spend so much time with her. Have a great day.
