Birthday Gardening Gifts, Part 1

Today is my 31st birthday, and all of the sweet, generous people in my life have done such nice things for me! Naturally, many of them are gardening-related. Check out my two gifts from my husband, Scott:
1. A huge, incredibly sturdy contraption for growing peas (fall/winter) and cucumbers (summer) in one of the existing raised beds:
(This picture is taken from above. This is a 4x4 raised bed.)

2. A waterfall for the pond:
I love the sound of the water! The waterfall basin is partially filled with rocks to create a bathing area for birds. I can't wait until it gets cold enough for the mosquitoes to die so we can really enjoy this area!
Is he sweet or what?! Part 2 of this post will be gardening gifts from my other friends and family - I am spoiled!
Have a great week!

What a great guy! Don't you love getting things for the garden for your birthday? That's what I always hint for. I love the waterfall, it just fits in perfectly!

That is a really cool pea/cuke growing contraption! I love it! It is going to be gorgeous tonight... the perfect early fall night to enjoy your new waterfall.

Happy Birthday!

Janet - It was a great birthday. I'm wondering if 31 is when you start losing your memory, though, because I have no recollection of what we did last year for 30! Ha.

Catherine - Gardening gifts are the best because you often hesitate about buying those things for yourself. Glad you like the waterfall! We needed a water feature and I read about the birds playing in your waterfall.

Susie - Thanks!

Lisa - I couldn't believe how cool it was this morning when I left for work! Love it!
