I don't have much time to garden, so a little rain/cold/mud/hail (
ok, maybe not
hail) isn't going to stop me when I have a chance. It has rained for four days straight now. My secrets to staying clean and dry? LL Bean gardening clogs and Atlas gloves. Love 'em both.

I think I need to try those gloves. Lots of good things said about them. My dog ate my cute little shoes like that, ladybug design and all. Teach me not to leave them on the porch. I thought we would grow some fingerling potatoes, maybe Yukon golds, regular russets and some baby reds. My mom and I are working the garden together this year so she will net half the yield. I have a big raised bed garden but will be adding a 100x40 row garden in the north field. I like the idea of using vertical space and potato mountains don't appeal to me much. I hope the bags work as well as some say they will. We will see.

Heather,
You should try the gloves. They are cheap, and give you so much dexterity compared to a lot of garden gloves. They offer a good bit of protection from moisture and even thorns.
Oh, and fingerlings are SO good! Can't wait to read about your potatoes!
Cute clogs, mud and all. My backyard is a mud hole too. Maybe we will starting drying out a tad today.
I LOVE my Atlas gloves. I am on about the fourth or fifth pair...get a new one each summer and cycle them into the fold. I wear Crocs or rubber boots (similar to Wellies, just no name). I feel like I live in a swamp most of the winter.
I think I just need to go with some puddle jumpers....it never fails that the fire ants seek and attack me!
I usually wear flip flops...but then you have dirty yard feet. I am going to look these shoes up now. Thanks
Love those clogs! I really needed boots this week with all the rain we got here. ;)
Great pix, Ging!

I'm gonna have to try those gloves. The rain or mud has never stopped me either. LOL
