That is a beauty Ginger! Wish I could smell it.
She is a beauty, isn't she? Love the red one too!
Very nice!! I looked through your older posts, good blog. Your ornamental Sage looks like what we call Mexican Sage Bush
mmmm, beautiful AND fragrant?Score!
Beautiful. Mine is about to bloom anyday now! I know Bilbo is excited to see your rose..LOL!
Bilbo is on his way.....how exciting!!
Ginger, Welcome to Bloomin' Tuesday! Your rose is lovely and so is the red. I'm sure glad you found out what your growths are. I've never seen anything like it. Are you trimming the bushes? If you trim them too late you may be cutting off the next years blooms. Jean
All: Thanks! It came with the house and I don't do much to it except cut it back hard in January and top-dress it with manure or compost every year or two.Darla- I think they are the same. Mine came from a plant sale and was vaguely named as those things tend to be!Jean,Thanks for hosting! I have never pruned those azaleas. I think they were planted in hard clay soil with no amendments, in a dry area, and it stunted their growth. They look by far the best they ever have now, so maybe next year I'll have blooms! I am going to cut off the parts with the growths, though!
It is truly gorgeous!!HBT
